The Clear Lake Gem and Mineral Society, Inc. (CLGMS) is a non-profit organization with intersterst in earth sciences. The 38th Annual show is Saturday February 23 from 10a-6p and Sunday February 24th 10a-5p. Show admission fees are $5 adult grades 6-12 is $1 and children are admitted free. The Clear Lake Gem & Mineral Society, Inc., was founded in 1974 by a group of people interested in the earth sciences, who felt the need for a club in the local area. The Club activities are quite varied and we now also cover Galveston County. We provide scholarships, classes to teach skills such as wire wrapping, scout merit badges, show and tell, lapidary, field trips, school geology and science projects and more. Membership for one adult is $10, two adults is $15, Junior (under age 18) is $5 and family of 4 at same address is only $20.00 per year.
