About Us

BTR (Bon Temps Rouler) Caring for Kids Foundation (BTR CFK), is a Texas-based 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt organization founded in 2024 by Daniel ''Tiny'' Guidry, a BOI (''born on the island'') with deep Louisiana roots. Our team successfully brings the most of Louisiana to this side of the Sabine with a series of three key events. The Bon Temps Rouler Cajun Throwdown (each Spring), our BTR Caring FORE Kids ''Monday After The Masters'' Celebrity Golf Tournament (the Monday following the Masters each Spring) and the Battle on the Bayou Gumbo and Chili Cook-Off benefitting our veterans annually each Veteran's Day weekend. We also sponsor other small events throughout the year to maintain attention and focus on kids and their families receiving treatment at UTMB-Galveston and our local vets in need with partners Battle for the Paddle Foundation (women veterans) and Operation Honor Our Local Veterans Now (multi-focused). To date, BTR has raised and distributed over $112,000. In true Louisiana and BOI tradition, Tiny leads by example as he has been a part of past events, both large and small, which have helped a lot of people from hurricane and tornado response to small fundraisers for great causes.

Our Board of Directors and operations team share wide-ranging experience in active community involvement, large event planning and execution, public relations and marketing, and facilities and project management.

Tiny loves his Cajun roots, Galveston County and Southeast Texas. Our BTR CFK team loves bringing the best of all these worlds together a few times each year in a family-friendly
