Printmaking Studio
The fine art of printmaking is anything that involves the transfer of an original, artist-created image from a production matrix onto paper, parchment, fabric or other support. The resulting “impressions” are considered original works of art in their own right, even though they (usually) exist in multiples. Each three-week session of this summer series for beginners and intermediate students makes use of GAC’s professional etching press, specialized printmaking tools, and inks. Projects include relief printmaking tiles, drypoint etching, monotypes, chine-collé, and more. Create bold images in both black and white and color and produce in duplicate to multiply the fun! Led by Amber Kaiser of Burning Bones press.
