Create a unique piece of jewelry by using the decorative polymer clay technique that mimics traditional Japanese Mokume Gane metalworking. In this all day workshop, instructor Paula Kennedy will teach the technique and help students create a one of a kind piece to take home! Mokume Gane technique involves thin layers of colored clay stacked and distorted, then sliced into patterned sheets. After learning the basic technique, students will cut their sheets to make fine art pendants, finishing them by baking, sanding and attaching a bail for wearing. No experience necessary! All materials provided. If students have their own pasta machines, work surfaces, or basic clay tools they are encouraged to bring them.
