Mercury: Mendelssohn & Brahms
Mendelssohn composed Symphony No. 5 in 1830 to honor the 300th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. Mercury will celebrate the 500th anniversary of the event with a special performance of this masterpiece. Paired with Brahms’ cheery Symphony No. 2, Mercury presents its full orchestra of period strings, winds and brass for an unforgettable evening.
