Meet G. Lee Gallery's featured artists Keith Clark and Maxx James. With very different styles and mediums, their art finds common ground in their mutual appreciation of Galveston's beautiful beaches and gorgeous skies. Keith Clark, born in the Mississippi Delta, graduated with an art degree and moved to Houston for work (as so many have done). He's rediscovered his art in beach landscapes, dunes and his memories of the Delta. Keith's art has a feeling of silence, stillness, sometimes a bit lonely and always something remembered. Maxx James, an Oklahoma native, has had a distinguished career as an artist, designer, photographer and illustrator in advertising, television even the energy industry. You've probably seen some of his graphics at Minute Maid Park. Maxx focuses his creative energies on modern realistic representations of windswept landscapes and Galveston Island's historic architecture.
