2025 Speed to Success Spring Networking Event

Ready, set, go! Back by popular demand, the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Spring Speed to Success Networking Event. This is a fast-paced, structured networking session. Each participant will meet up in groups of five for a ten-minute session, then two will move to another table while the others stay. You’ll be assigned a number and follow your number rotation. During this ten-minute session, each person introduces themselves and their business briefly, and afterwards, everyone gives their answer to an icebreaker question at the table. The goal is to allow everyone to meet multiple business contacts quickly. This format is ideal for quickly building new relationships and expanding professional networks.

We’re limiting registration to no more than 30 participants, first come-first serve.

$10 for Chamber members
$35 for future-members. Note: The $35 Registration Free can be applied to your Chamber Membership the day of the event.

Tips: 

1. Bring your business card (Note: for this quick-paced format, a printed card may work better than a digital card. 
2. Wear a nametag.
3. Practice your 15-second elevator pitch. Keep it concise. How you are and what can you do for other people?
4. Follow up! 

Here’s a Speed Networking 15-Second Pitch Template
In a fast-paced networking event, your pitch should be clear, engaging, and easy to remember. Use this simple structure:
Hook – Grab attention with a question or statement.
👉 “Have you ever struggled with _______?” or “I help [who you serve] with [key challenge].”
What You Do – Briefly explain your role and how you add value.
👉 “I’m a [your profession] specializing in [your expertise].”
Value Proposition – Share the key benefit of working with you.
👉 “I help [target audience] achieve [specific result].”
Call to Action – End with an invitation to continue the conversation.
👉 “I’d love to connect and see how we can collaborate!”
